Nomico Fire & Security is BAFE SP203‐accredited for fire alarm design, installation, and maintenance. This means that all of our services align with UK standards.

For larger or more complex premises, such as high-rise buildings and factories, we also offer L5 fire alarm systems. 

An L5 fire alarm system is a high-grade fire alarm that is designed for large or high-risk areas. These systems use extra detectors in likely fire zones to provide higher levels of protection against fire hazards. 

Due to the fact L5 fire alarms cover large areas, they are ideal for a range of premises such as high-rise, industrial and complex buildings. With their high levels of protection and extra detectors, these fire alarms can replace the need for a waking watch in some cases.

Our engineers can advise whether an L5 fire alarm system is appropriate for your site, and will handle the complete installation. 

Yes – we can supply, install and service all the common types of fire extinguishers, including water, foam, powder, and CO2, to suit your fire risks. 

All of the fire extinguishers we provide carry a British Standard Kitemark, which means they meet BS EN specifications. Every installation and inspection done by our team is carried out to the highest standards, as all of our engineers are BAFE‐certified in fire safety. 

Working with us means you will get the right fire extinguishers for your site, as well as expert service to ensure they remain ready to use and compliant. 

Yes, we are NICEIC-approved electrical contractors which means we design, install and test emergency lighting to align with current regulations.

Our work includes emergency escape lighting and illuminated fire exit signs, all of which are designed and installed to meet regulations such as BS 5266. All lighting provided by our team will be installed to integrate with your fire safety setup. 

We can also include emergency lighting installation and maintenance during our regular maintenance sessions at your premises. Here we will check that all batteries and lights are functional and will operate as needed during an emergency. 

Yes. Under UK law, any premises accommodating 5 or more people must have a written Fire Risk Assessment.

Nomico Fire & Security provides professional fire risk assessments to identify fire hazards and ensure compliance. Our reports cover all areas of the premises, including exits, alarms, extinguishers, signage, and staff trainings. 

Our assessors are up-to-date with the current legislation and are BAFE-accredited, where applicable, so we can help you meet all legal requirements.  

Yes – in addition to equipment installations and maintenance, we can also provide on-site training for your staff. 

During staff training, we can cover a range of requirements including how to identify hazards, designing and following an evacuation plan, and how to use fire extinguishers safely. All training is covered by our experienced personnel to ensure your team is prepared and compliant with current requirements.  

We install high-definition CCTV camera systems that will monitor your premises 24/7. Our CCTV camera systems can range from a few cameras to large multi-camera networks, with options for live viewing and recording. 

We also supply intruder alarm systems, including motion sensors, sirens, door and window contacts, which can be integrated with your CCTV and other security systems for maximum coverage. 

Many of our alarms link to smartphone apps or security monitoring services to provide instant alerts on any breach. Using a combination of intruder alarms and CCTV can provide greater deterrence against criminal activity and ensure immediate responses when needed. 

We supply and install a range of access control systems to restrict who can enter your premises. We have a wide range of systems available, including traditional keypad entry and modern biometric control, to suit all requirements. These systems can be used alone or in combination with one another for higher levels of security. 

With access control, only authorised personnel can open doors, whether this is entering the building or accessing specific areas. You can also use these systems to monitor the movements of staff and visitors, seeing the comings and goings of occupants at any time. 

Access control can also be integrated with other security systems, such as CCTV and intruder alarms for greater protection. 

Yes – Nomico Fire & Security provides 24-hour maintenance and breakdown cover for all of our installations. This means that if any system we have installed, whether this is fire alarms, CCTV or access control, has a fault or fails a test, our engineers can respond at any time. 

We cover a range of premises and needs with our maintenance and service, including offices, commercial sites, residential buildings, factories, and construction sites. Every service call is logged by our helpdesk and will be tracked through until the resolution.

If you take out a service contract with us, we will also perform regular checks on your behalf, including fire alarm testing and annual inspections, to ensure your systems remain compliant and fully operational. 

Nomico Fire & Security is based in Upminster, Essex, but we serve the wider region. We cover all of Essex, London and the Home Counties.

Our engineers frequently work across Greater London and the surrounding counties. 

We hold multiple industry certifications, as we are an NICEIC-approved contractor for electrical work and BAFE-accredited for fire safety systems. We are also registered members of trade associations such as the Electrical Contractors’ Association and the Fire Industry Association.
